INTERVIEW: Companies fail to act on modern slavery

Three years ago, the federal government passed a new law aimed at tackling the exploitation of workers.

But a new report from the Australian Human Rights Institute and a coalition of human rights organisations and academics says, in most cases, the promises to tackle modern slavery exist on paper only, and corporations have little to show when it comes to real action.

Director of the Institute, Professor Justine Nolan, spoke to the ABC's RN Breakfast program about the major investigation.
