Former Olympic swimmer says the policing of women's bodies doesn't stand up

Some of the world's top swimmers have been left divided by a decision to effectively ban transgender athletes from elite competition.

Swimming's world governing body FINA announced yesterday that transgender athletes will need to complete their transition by the age of 12 to compete.

Former Canadian Olympic swimmer and Australian Human Right Institute Associate Nikki Dryden spoke to ABC RN Breakfast's Patricia Karvelas about why she says the decision was the wrong one.
