Disappearances ‘show Rwanda unfit to host Commonwealth summit’

Leading human rights barrister Jennifer Robinson has questioned whether Rwanda is fit to host the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) after the disappearance of family members of Australian human rights activist Noel Zihabamwe.

Robinson spoke to The Sydney Morning Herald's London bureau about the case, which was the subject of a UN complaint submitted with the assistance of the Australian Human Rights Institute in 2021.
